]]> The Greater Vancouver Zoo is excited to host Access Day over two special days this year!

Access Day is designed to be inclusive and accessible for individuals of all abilities. To support a comfortable experience for everyone, operations will be adjusted to minimize sensory concerns.

The volume in the Mesozoic Adventure will be lowered, and the Discovery Centre, located next to Oasis Kitchen, will be available as a designated quiet space. On Wednesday, May 14, the train will not operate until 2 PM, and the Mesozoic Adventure will remain silent until 11 AM. On Thursday, May 15, the train will run at a limited capacity.

Gates open at 9 AM, with special entrance access available from 9 AM to 12 PM. Bus parking is free, and staff will be onsite to assist with directions. Access 2 Cards are not required for this event but will be needed for future visits.

Make sure to join us at the Pavilion Picnic from 10 AM to 2 PM for fun activities including a scavenger hunt, games, and prizes.

Admission is $10 per participant, and one personal care attendant may enter for free per individual. To help reduce wait times, tickets must be purchased online only and will not be available at the gate. Tickets are available under “special events” in our online ticket store here.
