<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Join local crone (and retired forester) Debora Soutar, for a detailed look at the amazing productivity of our local wetlands. There’s food to sustain us, medicine to heal us, and materials to enhance our homes. Each guided walk is about an hour long. We’ll meet at the Rotary Interpretive Centre at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, on the last Tuesday of the month at 2pm. Dress for the weather. Limit of 20 for each group so register online.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Greendale Express Train rides at <a href="https://www.thefraservalley.ca/listing/greendale-acres-farm/">Christmas at Greendale Acres</a> in Chilliwack from November 28th until December 23rd, 2025. Hop on for a classic Christmas experience through a dazzling maze of twinkling Christmas lights and festive decorations on the farm. Greendale brings an extra touch of nostalgia with the inclusion of The Old Yale Rd Lights, a local favourite light display started by the Blackham family that now lives on at <a href="https://www.straight.com/living/chilliwacks-greendale-acres-is-suiting-up-for-holidays" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Greendale Acres</a>. Please note that train tickets are not included with admission, and must be booked separately. If the train is fully booked, visitors are welcome to wander the path by foot!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://gvzoo.com/news/arctic-express-zoo-lights" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Arctic Express</a> takes over the <a href="https://www.thefraservalley.ca/listing/greater-vancouver-zoo/">Greater Vancouver Zoo</a> November 22nd, 2025 &#8211; January 10th, 2026.  and offers a frosty journey through the North! Riders will experience an exciting adventure as they help researchers track a missing reindeer. Families can enjoy the Zoo Lights evening experience throughout the zoo, which includes a craft market, plenty of cozy drinks and tasty bites, and of course… photos with Santa!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Part of the <a href="https://tourismharrison.com/events/winter-night-lights-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Winter Night Lights</a> in Agassiz, a holiday mini-passenger train will run through Pioneer Park December 12th and 13th, 2025. Visitors will have the chance to meet Santa and the Grinch, all while enjoying holiday games and festivities. Food trucks will be on-site, offering delicious snacks…and complimentary hot chocolate will help keep your hands warm!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Finally, the 2025 <a href="https://www.cpkcr.com/en/community/HolidayTrain" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CPKC Holiday Train</a> rolls into Agassiz on December 19th at 5:45pm. This annual charity drive tours train stations throughout Canada and the U.S. to raise money, food, and awareness to support food banks and spread holiday cheer everywhere it goes. Be there to witness its grand entrance, all brightly decorated, and enjoy live performances from Canadian rock band, <a href="https://tourismharrison.com/events/ckpc-holiday-train/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Barenaked Ladies</a> on stage at the “live music car.”   </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With over 120 years of history, the Kilby General Store is the last standing building of the once bustling community of Harrison Mills. Thousands of people have walked through her doors. Our investigators have found evidence<br>that some are still with us!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Investigators will be set up in various ‘known-to-be’ haunted hot-spots in the Store and Hotel. After an explanation of their<br>equipment, you will get a chance to discover if there is an active spooky side to our site. Your tour will visit four areas in the Museum/Hotel, and one on the grounds. Warm-up refreshments will be provided (hot apple cider and sweet<br>treats).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">$45/person plus GST<br>Tours from 6pm – 8pm or 8pm – 10pm</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Please note that the evening is not recommended for youth under 10 years of age. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Part of the tour will take place outdoors.</p>
