Lights at Cultus Lake – Chilliwack

With thousands of brilliant lights reflecting off the water, you’ll feel like you’re in a Christmas card as you explore the fresh air displays along the shore. Pair it with a cup of hot chocolate and you’ve got everything you need for a memorable outing with someone special.

Christmas at Greendale Acres – Chilliwack

This time of year, the area-famous farm transforms into a cheery holiday scene straight out of a snow globe! Hop on the Greendale Express for a tour through each of the farm’s experiences, Christmas trees,  light displays, fire pits, and of course, Santa Claus on site, taking any last-minute requests.

Join in the fun until December 23, 2025.

Lights by the Lake & Starlight Skating Rink – Harrison Hot Springs

Every winter, the Harrison lakefront is filled with gorgeous lighting displays that take inspiration from local flora and fauna, as well as area legends like the elusive Sasquatch! Follow the glittering arrangements from the village plaza to the lagoon and the waterfront, taking in thousands of bulbs reflecting off the water.  The nearby Starlight Skating Rink is another wonderful way to make the most of the fresh air as you glide amongst friends and families under the glow of the stars.

Starlight Skating Rink is open until January 2, 2026.

Winter Night Lights – Agassiz

Looking for a good spot to take your holiday photo for the season? Winter Nights Lights will set the perfect vibe! The lighting displays along Pioneer Avenue and its surrounding storefronts will lend a warm glow to any selfie shoot. Be sure to venture into Pioneer Park, where you’ll see even more stunning arrangements, including a gazebo where you can rest and take in the full picture of the festive atmosphere.

Enjoy the displays until December 31, 2025.

Christmas at Tanglebank – Abbotsford

Already well known for their immersive autumn experience, when winter rolls around, Tanglebank goes even bigger! A towering Christmas tree (and other gorgeously decorated trees sponsored by local community partners), holiday movies being screened throughout the day, and twinkling lights that seem to stretch on forever—this is a family outing well worth putting in your advent calendar.

Browne Creek Wetlands – Chilliwack

With a network of just over 2km of recreational trails, the wetlands offer a quick, fresh-air diversion from your holiday errands. Walking along the waterways through the winter, you’re certain to find a rejuvenating reset, perfect for taking in the beauty of the season.

Cheam Lake Wetlands – Chilliwack/Rosedale

A sprawling mountain range is your backdrop through this lush series of boardwalks and hiking trails. If you’re looking for an active way to savour the season, while taking in the area plants and animals, the flat and accessible walkways here make this an excellent option for almost every member of your family (in order to protect the sensitive wetland habitat and all its species, pets are not permitted). Keep an eye out for the abundance of bird species that call the wetlands home!

Sumas Mountain – Abbotsford

A true playground of nature, this massive 1,471-hectare park transforms in the chilly season, showcasing breathtaking snow-capped scenery. With winding trails ranging from easy hikes to more challenging routes with a bit more elevation gain, there are plenty of lookout points to spot wildlife foraging and playing in the fresh powder.
