Outdoor Experiences

Summer is almost here and it’s a great time to think about getting outside, where you can take in a tour, explore a trail or spend some time on one of the many beautiful lakes the region has to offer. Adventurer’s will want to spend some time exploring the many biking and hiking trails on Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford, or have some fun with a game at Raptors Knoll Disc Golf Park in Langley. Water lovers will enjoy kayaking around Silver Lake in Hope or renting a BBQ boat at Harrison Watersports. You will also want to learn about and celebrate the Valley’s rich cultural history with an Indigenous Tour guided by Stó:lō Tourism at Coqualeetza in Chilliwack or Xá:ytem National Historic Site in Mission.

Unique Accommodations

After all that exploring you are going to need a place to rest and recharge. There are a wide variety of unique accommodations available where you can feel at home while on your journey. When was the last time you had the opportunity to sleep in a luxury barn? This is actually a thing at The Little Red Barn in Mission, or you can immerse yourself in rich cultural heritage and stay in a teepee at Tuckkwiowhum Heritage Village. If you are looking for scenic and wheelchair accessible accommodations, we recommend a stay at Maple Bay Cabins in Cultus Lake. Fishing enthusiasts will love a stay at the Fraser River Lodge in the Harrison River Valley. Both the Brookside Inn Boutique Hotel in Abbotsford and Mt. Bakerview Bed & Breakfast in Langley offer cozy and comfortable overnight accommodations that will leave you refreshed and ready for new adventures.
