Langley is the Fraser Valley’s premier wine and libations destination. Here you’ll find the characteristic warm hospitality of a small town coupled with a diverse array of experiences, such as authentic farm visits, exciting sports venues, unique shopping and extensive dining and libations opportunities. Langley’s up-and-coming foodie scene has lots of options for people who like locally sourced ingredients: from trendy hotspots to elegant fine dining, family friendly restaurants and mouth-watering bakery-cafes. It is also home of the historical Fort Langley which makes it a destination not to be missed.
Well before this territory was ever called the Township of Langley, it was known by its Halq’eméylem name, S’ólh Téméxw, meaning “our land” or “our world.”
For us, that name serves as a reminder that our organization stems from a lineage of settlers and visitors to this area, the traditional, ancestral land that was first home to the Stó:lō (people of the river) and associated tribes, in particular the q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), Máthxwi (Matsqui) and Se’mya’me’ (Semiahmoo) peoples.
As settlers and visitors, we therefore acknowledge our duty to treat this land and its first people with the utmost respect and gratitude. When you visit, we hope you’ll show that same respect and encourage those who come after you to do likewise.
Highlights featuring the best of each season. Featured events that you can’t miss. Hidden gems waiting to be explored. Experience the vibrant seasons of the Township of Langley.

Founded in 1989, the Alder Grove Heritage Society is the steward for the F. J. Hart Building in Aldergrove. The 1910 BC Mills building is home to the Telephone Museum and Aldergrove’s community archives.
The museum and society are run by volunteers who share an interest in preserving the local heritage and making it available for others who may want to research family and local history. The museum’s telephone collection is very extensive and features telephones throughout the years as well as other telephone-related history and objects.
Admission to the museum is by donation and the Society also has a number of local history books for sale, including The Place Between 1866-1939 and The Place Between 1940-1970, which contain the histories of many local families, businesses, schools and associations.

What is now Beatniks Bistro was once the Moorehouse residence, originally built in 1933, making Beatniks one of the oldest buildings in Fort Langley.
After standing vacant for some time the Choquette family acquired the lonely house and started to dream of a cool little restaurant where people could socialize, enjoy great food, great music and feel an extension of the family hospitality.
