There’s just something about holiday trains around the winter season. From The Polar Express to the refrigerated boxcar that Frosty takes back to the North Pole, the magic and nostalgia of riding the rails always delivers the cheer. Now, the family-friendly festive fun rolls on at these holiday trains throughout The Fraser Valley.




The Greendale Express Train rides at Christmas at Greendale Acres in Chilliwack from November 28th until December 23rd, 2025. Hop on for a classic Christmas experience through a dazzling maze of twinkling Christmas lights and festive decorations on the farm. Greendale brings an extra touch of nostalgia with the inclusion of The Old Yale Rd Lights, a local favourite light display started by the Blackham family that now lives on at Greendale Acres. Please note that train tickets are not included with admission, and must be booked separately. If the train is fully booked, visitors are welcome to wander the path by foot!
Arctic Express takes over the Greater Vancouver Zoo November 22nd, 2025 – January 10th, 2026. and offers a frosty journey through the North! Riders will experience an exciting adventure as they help researchers track a missing reindeer. Families can enjoy the Zoo Lights evening experience throughout the zoo, which includes a craft market, plenty of cozy drinks and tasty bites, and of course… photos with Santa!



Part of the Winter Night Lights in Agassiz, a holiday mini-passenger train will run through Pioneer Park December 12th and 13th, 2025. Visitors will have the chance to meet Santa and the Grinch, all while enjoying holiday games and festivities. Food trucks will be on-site, offering delicious snacks…and complimentary hot chocolate will help keep your hands warm!
Finally, the 2025 CPKC Holiday Train rolls into Agassiz on December 19th at 5:45pm. This annual charity drive tours train stations throughout Canada and the U.S. to raise money, food, and awareness to support food banks and spread holiday cheer everywhere it goes. Be there to witness its grand entrance, all brightly decorated, and enjoy live performances from Canadian rock band, Barenaked Ladies on stage at the “live music car.”
