Home to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, this is a destination for anyone craving a bit of colour in their life. While the tulips are the main draw right now, Lakeland will continue to feature its famously colourful flowers through the coming months. Keep an eye out for sunflowers, peonies and fresh lavender on their field schedule!
Tulip Forest at Maan Farms – Abbotsford



Family-owned and filled with unique ways to ring in the spring, keep Maan Farms in mind for your next day off. Starting with the tulip forest, you can explore two acres filled with countless varieties of tulips. The perfect spot for a springtime selfie, the forest is also home to photo ops aplenty, like a mushroom house, swing set, and friendly farm animals to say hello to. There’s a strong sense of whimsy to the farm; you might just feel like Alice, stepping into Wonderland.
Magical Tulip Garden at Taves Farms – Abbotsford
Taves Farms is joining the floral fun this year! One of Abbotsford’s favourite spots for seasonal experiences, the Taves family has transformed their pumpkin patch into a springtime surprise. Stop by and see the newly redesigned flower beds transformed into three acres of rich pastels and winding pathways straight out of a storybook. Festivities begin on April 1 with Easterfest, a three-day spring celebration with egg hunts, hay rides and a visit from the guest of honour himself, the Easter bunny!

Immaculately curated flower beds, a river of tulips, and a windmill display, at Greendale Acres, you’ll get a full sense of the artistry involved with professional green thumbing. The farm hosts fantastic spring events, like an Easter egg hunt and a plowing match, so be sure to check the schedule before you go. It’s a community favourite for good reason!

13 acres, 1.5 million bulbs, 59 unique varieties of tulips…Botanica is a true kaleidoscope of colour. The sprawling farm is both pet and kid-friendly, which makes for a wonderful family outing, and there’s a dedicated u-pick area, so you can assemble your own floral arrangements to take home with you. Set against the backdrop of the Fraser Valley mountains, this is one of the most picturesque places around, so make sure you have a full battery!

Canada’s largest tulip festival, this stop is an absolute must on your next springtime safari. Not only that, but it was also voted the world’s most Instagrammable tulip farm at the World Tulip Summit in Holland, and if you’re not familiar, tulips are a big deal in the Netherlands.
