Local Businesses You Can Support To Stand With Our Filipino Community

Here in the Fraser Valley, we’ve been absolutely heartbroken since the tragic news broke of what happened at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver. Filipino BC in partnership with the United Way have created the Kapwa Strong Fund where donations can be made to affected families and the community.

But we wanted to find more ways for locals and visitors in the Fraser Valley to continue to show support to local businesses and community spots owned by our extended Filipino family.

Here’s a list of businesses that you can visit to show your support to the community as we continue to stand together, heal, and demonstrate our unwavering solidarity with our Filipino friends and neighbours:

Mr Sio Pao de Langley – Bakery known for Filipino-style steamed buns, both savoury (Siopao and Bola-Bola) and sweet (ube, mung bean, pandan and red bean).
