The leaves have fallen, the air is crisp, and it’s the perfect time to draw close to our sweethearts to help keep us warm! All across the Valley, you can find plenty of ways to cozy up with your love and enjoy the twinkling lights and festivities hand-in-hand. 

Start your festive tour of the Fraser Valley in Langley, where you’ll find no shortage of libations, beautiful scenes, and festive events. Starting on November 23rd, you can visit Glow, the unique Christmas light festival. Enjoy your stroll through a sea of giant ornaments, magical trees, and cascading lights for a truly magical experience.

If driving through a winter wonderland is more your style, visit the Christmas in Williams Park event. This free-admission event is full of dazzling lights and Christmas displays, perfect for a festive photo or two! After your wandering in winter wonderlands, you’ll surely be thirsty and perhaps hungry! Langley has you covered with a wide variety of wineries, bars, and restaurants. To name just a few, Chaberton Estate Winery, Camp Beer Co., or Mangia E Scappa.

Heading further into the Fraser Valley, you’ll find yourselves in Abbotsford, this city in the country is hosting holiday events sure to get you in the spirit! Transport yourself back to the 1930s at the Matsqui Community Hall Christmas Lights & Swing Dance happening on November 25th. Need a boost of energy before checking out the festivities? Stop in at the ever-popular Banter Ice Cream! While in Downtown Abbotsford, check out their massive Christmas tree being lit on December 3rd and experience their Home for the Holiday event beginning on November 15th. Tis the season to enjoy a sumptuous dinner at Restaurant 62 as well. 

Chilliwack will be your next stop, and it’s sure to be filled with fun! Tour around Downtown Chilliwack for fun shops and delicious food and beverages. Fieldhouse Brewing offers excellent brews and food to match! Stop in at some of their other popular locations such as Bow & Stern or The Offy Italian Bistro.

Starting on December 3rd and running through the holiday season until December 30th, experience Christmas at District 1881. Here you can visit Santa’s Workshop and take a spin on a Carousel Ride with the perfect holiday photo backdrop at every turn. And if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience this holiday season, you can trust Librico Helicopter Tours to provide it! These luxury helicopter tours make for a one-of-a-kind day,  as they show off the incredible landscapes in the region in ways you’ve never seen before!

Reaching the end of the Fraser Valley, you’ll come to the stunning mountain town of Hope! Visit on December 3rd  for their Hope for the Holidays – Holiday Light Tour where they will be unveiling their massive display of Christmas Lights and their towering Christmas tree! Wander the Downtown area and duck into Blue Moose Coffee House or Hope Mountain Cafe to warm up with a delicious drink and snack!

Their very own Mountainview Brewing Co. will also be releasing a brand-new holiday brew that’ll pair nicely with their delicious pretzels! For a getaway into nature, visit Manning Park Resort, where you’ll find a relaxing, comfortable stay and seemingly endless snowshoe and skiing trails and runs!

On your way back down the Fraser Valley, take the scenic BC Route 7 highway and stop in Harrison River Valley! Starting on November 19th and ending on January 8,  Lights by the Lake is a gorgeous display of Christmas lights on Harrison Lake that will surely take your breath away. Spend a night at a 160-acre riverfront estate, Rowena’s Inn, where you can bask in their lovely service and hospitality. You can also grab a bite and a drink at the Old Settler’s Pub, then continue to Agassiz and enjoy their Christmas Lights display in Pioneer Park!
