Join the Agassiz-Harrison Museum and The Fraser-Cascade School District for Harvest Heroes! Learn about the history of food production and farming in the eastern Fraser Valley through touchable artifacts, interactive archives, and crafting.
Four stations will be available for children and families to freely access:
Station 1: Copies of archival images having to do with food production and agricultural history in the area with family friendly information on the back of each picture will be available to view alongside a knowledgeable Museum Volunteer.
Station 2: Related artifacts from the Museum’s educational collection will be available to freely handle for everyone of all ages.
Station 3: Join us for crafts and show us what you learned! Each child will receive a blank puzzle piece to draw/colour anything on that relates to what they have learned with us. All the puzzle pieces will be put together and displayed at the Museum.
Station 4: Take home the fun! The Fraser-Cascade School District will supply all participants with a food package to take home with them.
