The Pacific Great Blue Heron is a species at risk and the namesake of our Nature Reserve due to the large breeding colony that has thrived here for more than 50 years. Join us for a FREE hour-long guided tour to learn all about this fascinating species.

Led by an experienced environmental educator, Heron Tours allow participants to learn all about the life cycle of the Pacific Great Blue Heron and explore their habitat. You’ll learn all about this remarkable species, its life cycle, and how the colony has thrived on the Nature Reserve for decades. Immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery and enjoy viewing the Herons and other wildlife as you walk through the Reserve, gaining an understanding of the significance of this natural area and the role it plays in maintaining habitat for this species and many others. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to experience the wonders of the Nature Reserve and deepen your appreciation for its importance to our local wildlife.
