Percy Jackson, a young boy with ADHD and Dyslexia, is trying his hardest to be a good kid. Despite his best efforts, it seems like catastrophe follows him wherever he goes. When a monster attacks Percy at school –getting him expelled AGAIN– he learns that he is the son of a Greek god, or as the others call it, a Half-Blood. Nothing is as it seems anymore, not even his best friend, Grover.
Suddenly, Percy is faced with new powers he can’t control, frightening prophecies he doesn’t want to decode, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail.
As if his week couldn’t get any worse, he’s now the prime suspect for stealing Zeus’s master lightning bolt. To prevent all-out war between the gods and prove his innocence, Percy now must embark on a quest.
Teamed up with best friend Grover, and a new half-blood friend, Annabeth, can Percy hold off the wrath of the gods, come to terms with his newfound lineage, and keep everyone he cares about safe?
