The longer you’ve been away, the more you realize how much you’ve missed. Plan your visit back to the Fraser Valley this summer, where timeless adventures and new experiences await!
From Clothbound Cheddar to fresh Cheese Truffles, this family-run cheese farm produces an exciting variety of products made from happy, pasture-fed cows and goats. Tucked along a quiet country road in Agassiz, the farm has been in business since 2003, and a number of their prize-winning cheeses can be found in Vancouver’s high-end restaurants today. The goat and cow cheeses are inspired by the Old World and made with traditional recipes and methods.
Enjoy country vibes and cold beer at this family-friendly brewery, which offers a crafty menu and farm-fresh food in a barn-style setting.
Cozy up inside the namesake farmhouse or stretch out in the fresh air on their large outdoor patio. Pick a pint or flight of their house staples (hazy IPA, pilsner, lager, and a golden ale). You can also try a selection from the rotating taps, which feature seasonal brews and special guests.
We’re going to the chapel and we’re going to get wine—wait, that’s not how the song goes! Swing by the Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery for a tasting and a tour set against the spectacular backdrop of rolling pastures and meandering country roads in Mount Lehman. The historic charm of this community is infused in the wine tasting room, a copper spired chapel with intricate paintings and exposed wood beams adorning the interior.
Delicious and wholesome baking takes time, precision, and quality ingredients—similar to the process of producing artisan flours, grains, and cereal at Chilliwack-based Anita’s Organic Mill.
With Springtime in the air, tee-time in the Valley is plentiful. Whether you’re an experienced golfer looking for challenging hilly terrain, a first-timer ready for smooth fairways, or just looking to have some fun, the Valley offers a variety of phenomenal courses for any age and skill level.
Although the Fraser Valley is well known for being one of the most agriculturally productive parts of BC, it remains a surprise to some that the Valley is actually the second largest wine producing region in British Columbia. Our cool climate, fertile soil, along with farmers who have a passion for viticulture, means that wine lovers can find over 15 wineries covering more than 200 acres in the region.
This Langley craft distillery produces small-batch spirits with quality ingredients grown right here on their 30-acre farm. The family-run micro distillery, which grows its own corn and potatoes (key distilling ingredients), pays tribute to its deep agricultural roots as a third-generation farm, proudly producing farm-to-table spirits for all to enjoy.
Step inside this friendly Agassiz bakery and soak up the mouth-watering aromas of fresh and delicious treats. Cure your “cabin fever” and satisfy your sweet tooth with an assortment of colourful pies, pastries, fudge, cookies and other creative delights.
