FORMERLY CHILLIWACK TULIP FESTIVAL
Harrison Tulip Festival is opening April 8th!
Established in 2006, the Harrison Tulip Festival pioneered a unique experience in the Fraser Valley by inviting the public to explore its blossoming fields on Seabird Island, just east of Agassiz. After relocating to Chilliwack in 2017 and operating under the name Chilliwack Tulip Festivaltm until the Spring of 2023, the festival has found its permanent home on a 109-acre farm back in Agassiz. Nestled amidst the same breathtaking mountain vistas it enjoyed in its inaugural decade, the festival invites visitors to meander through designated pathways adorned with 7 million tulips, complemented by the delightful fragrances of hyacinths and double daffodils.
Excitingly, for the 2024 Season, a new addition awaits— a 2 1/2 acre show garden showcasing an impressive variety of tulips, hyacinths, mini grapes, double daffodils, and fritillaria. These vibrant blooms are thoughtfully interspersed among mature fruit and spring flowering trees and shrubs, enhancing the overall sensory experience. The organizers eagerly anticipate sharing their stunning fields of flowers with visitors, creating a memorable and picturesque journey.

Event Details
After a long forced hiatus due to the pandemic followed by the flooding of 2021, we are excited to host the Skagit Bird Blitz once again!
Inaugurated in 2011, the Skagit Valley Bird Blitz was created by Kelly Pearce with help from Denis Knopp, Al and Jude Grass, Scott Denkers and other birding enthusiasts. It was also co-hosted with BC Nature with special help from Bev Ramey. The event seeks to replicate the Manning Park Bird Blitz, a successful event that now spans 41 years of ornithological sightings!
Early May is a great time for novice and experienced birders alike to visit the Skagit – the birds are singing and nesting; spring wildflowers are in glorious bloom; and the infamous Skagit mosquitoes have not yet achieved their full blood-sucking majesty!
With 199 recorded species, the Skagit offers a beautiful mountain setting and a classic “U-shaped” glaciated valley that is traversed by a widely meandering river. Healthy waterfowl populations are found here, including harlequin ducks and the lush riparian forests are alive with songbirds. There are also dry forests of Ponderosa Pine and open meadows where birds of prey frequently hunt. All in all, a thriving web of diverse ecosystems to attract our birds.
As the Skagit Valley spans the Canadian-U.S. border, it forms a natural corridor for north-south migrants, an important corridor to study in the years ahead, as climate change continues to impact the timing of bird breeding and migration. Human migrants enjoy the Skagit Valley lands too, both Americans and Canadians can enjoy birding in this trans-boundary wilderness.

This season, VIEW Dance Challenge will be entering its 11th year of production. From its inception to present VIEW continues to operate with the unique goal of delivering a dance experience like no other. Through the creation and implementation of a platform for young, aspiring dancers to celebrate the art of dance. VIEW has become a second home, a community and exciting dance environment for dancers across the globe. The past 11 years have allowed VIEW to learn, grow and continue to evolve through innovative and creative approaches.
VIEW is a professional, unique and reputable International Dance Competition that proudly operates in nine Canadian provinces and two different countries. As the competition locations continue to grow globally, so has the VIEW Family. This is clearly demonstrated through the outstanding roster of Event Directors, Staff and Adjudicators that all share a common goal of dedicating their skills to the art of dance.
We would not be celebrating 11 years without our amazing dance community. From our loyal clients that have been with us since day one to our newest, we could not thank you enough for your trust, support and appreciation. VIEW would not be what is it today without the continued support, love and trust from its incredible dance community. We have had the honour and privilege of SEEING dancers grow as artists on the VDC stage. We BELIEVE in providing our community of dancers with a safe space to perform, compete, learn and grow together! We BELIEVE that we can make a difference in creating a strong foundation for dancers to ACHIEVE their goals and dreams.
We take pride in delivering high quality events and providing the ultimate dance competition experience for all dancers, studio owners, teachers, choreographers and families. We strive to go above and beyond by hand selecting the best suited venues for performance needs, recruiting extraordinary and personable staff members and curating a panel of accomplished and sought out international adjudicators.
At VIEW, dancers gain more than just a performance opportunity; they are provided with the staging, lighting and atmosphere to showcase their talents and receive constructive criticism and thoughtful guidance from our established panel of adjudicators. Our commitment to excellence assures a timely and organized dance competition, and of course, an unforgettable experience from the moment you step foot in the door.
As former professional dancers, event and film producers, passionate adjudicators, international choreographers and proud BFA holders majoring in Dance, we are committed to bringing you the most remarkable, reputable and rewarding Canadian Dance Competition. Our love and passion for the art of dance paired with our expertise and years of experience ensures that your time at VIEW Dance Challenge exceeds all of your dance competition expectations! Words cannot express how grateful we are for this incredible dance community. Thank you for your trust, your continued support and loyalty particularly over this past year.
Our 2024 Dance Tour will be an unforgettable season you won’t want to miss. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information and to reserve your spot for our 2024 Dance Tour. Remember that if you can SEE IT and BELIEVE IT, you can ACHIEVE IT.

Event Details
In 2007 the founding board members of the Run for Water Society conceptualized a unique event to be hosted in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The vision was to stage a top tier internationally recognized running event that would attract a wide range of participants and athletes and, at the same time, raise awareness – and funds – for people in the developing world who lack one of life’s basic necessities – clean water. Since 2008, this volunteer board has staged an annual road race and now additionally organizes trail runs and gravel grind events.
Funds raised – over $4,000,000 to date – go towards helping building clean water projects in some of the most remote and marginalized areas of Ethiopia.
